Button Art turned Glamorous!

So in my travels on the internet i had found these really cute button art works....

Now the first and second not so tough.... the in between one.... that's a whole other story!!! So i decided i loved the alphabet button art... something so personal about it.... except i didn't have any buttons... now fabrics papers sequins color pencils all these things i have... but buttons... not so much!!! 

So i had to improvise..... i practically ransacked all my art boxes and pulled out some shiny gold sequins   ( just didn't know how to spell that!!! i spent 10 minutes on http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sequins to get the right spelling!!!!!)

Now that we've got that out of the way... lets start with the tutorial... so yeah its not as easy as it looks and its also time consuming.... maybe the buttons since they are bigger may not take as much time but these teenie tiny little itsy bitsy sequins and my tv..... easily three hours!!!!

First off we need to sketch out the alphabet.... I choose "A" since hubby and i both start off with it... 

I did this freehand... but i strongly recommend either tracing it from a printed letter or measuring it out....

..... i put some glue on a paper and opened my packet of sequins near it so it was fast and easy to apply the glue to the sequins....

..... that's my forever helpful tweezer.... its makes the job less messy....

....one sequins at a time.....

..... about 40 mins down....

.... one hour forty minutes.....

.... two and a half hours.....

.....finally!!!

i tried taking the picture in the auto setting so i got this color.... i like it but not as much as the one below...

This image i took in daylight setting and i love it!!!

Which one do you like???

i know i know its not got that colorful playful feel of the button art... but its so shiny and glamorous don't u think?
